■Main functions

・　Account opening

You can open a Japan Post Bank account as quickly as possible.

*If you need to confirm your application details when opening an account, it will normally take about two weeks for us to contact you with the confirmation results and send you your cash card.

*Customers who already have a general account with Japan Post Bank cannot open an account.

・Password re-registration

Even if you forget your cash card PIN, you can immediately use your account by re-registering your new PIN.

■Things to prepare

・Smartphone (model with camera and IC chip reading function (NFC function))

・Identification document (driver's license, My Number Card, or Residence Card)

*If you are a foreign national and apply to open an account, please be sure to apply using your residence card. We may also ask you to take an additional photo of your employee ID or student ID.

■Customers who cannot use this app

・Corporate and organizational customers (including individual customers who use accounts for business purposes)

・Customers using the adult guardianship system

・Customers who do not live in Japan

*Even customers other than those listed above may not be able to use the service depending on their application details and account status.

■Notes

・We will only accept applications from individual customers.

・The account opened with this app is a non-passbook type general account that does not issue a passbook. If you need a passbook, please apply at the savings counter at Japan Post Bank or a post office.

・When changing to an account that issues a passbook (cutting back), a written procedure is required at the counter. Additionally, a fee of 1,100 yen will be charged for each procedure performed within one month after opening the account.

・This app does not register a seal when opening an account. For customers who need to register their seal for purposes such as debiting utility bills, after opening an account, please bring your cash card, registered seal, and identification document with photo to your nearest Japan Post Bank or Please complete the seal registration procedure at the savings counter at the post office.

・It cannot be used between 23:50 and 0:05 the next day.

・There is no charge for using this app. However, the customer is responsible for any communication charges incurred when downloading or using the service.

・Some procedures may not be possible. Please check the notes displayed within the app.
